The Fur & Feather Auctions at Melton Mowbray Market have a national reputation for the range and excellence of the livestock available but also include Plants, Produce, Timber and sundry goods and chattels.
Auctions are held weekly on Tuesdays
Prior to bidding you must be registered at the Fur and Feather auctioneers office. Buyers must have ID in order to obtain a bidding number. No bidding number means you are unable to purchase.
9.45am Game (in season) and Eggs (hatching & culinary)

10am Poultry and Live Rabbits
10am Pets
The market is open for entries from 7am until 9.00am.
The office opens at 9am and closes 30 minutes after the auctions have ended.

In addition to the weekly markets an Auction Sale of Traditional and Rare Breeds of poultry & waterfowl is held each Spring and Autumn.
In December there are sales of Dressed and Long Legged Turkeys, Geese, Ducks, and Chickens in addition to live birds.
