Melton Mowbray Market holds Livestock Markets throughout the year on Tuesdays.

We are able to sell all categories of cattle which can be moved on the customers General Licence for the Movement of Cattle.

We are not a "slaughter only" market since we firmly believe that it is preferable for all concerned that store and finished sheep, in particular, are sold on the same day. Therefore licences to move specific groups of sheep to market are required.

A collection centre for OTM's cattle takes place on a Tuesday. We are also able to assist with sales of all classes of livestock either from Farms or through our Licensed Collection Centre.

To handle animals or access pens or help in any way with movement of stock the people must:

WEAR APPROPRIATE WASHABLE CLOTHING

WASH HANDS AFTER TOUCHING ANIMALS

DIP FEET ON LEAVING ANIMAL AREAS

BE ABLE TO WASH CLOTHING AT 60 DEGREES
